Battle of the Bands – Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

Location: VFW, Algona

Time: 8 p.m. to midnight

Entry cost - $25 – only four bands allowed to register

Acts in between main events are free

Sponsors – Josh Hollinger – Need 4 sponsors for the bands – possibly Diamonds, Lyntronix, Murphy Brown, Kiwanis, Rotary

Food preparation – Can have only bars, cookies, chips (Jodee talked to Howard from VFW) Volunteers to make bars and cookies

Jodee – pan of bars

Tickets – Rob and Angie – Rob will print tickets – Angie will laminate and give to Premier

Ticket sales – Premier will sell, Jodee emailed Mr. Heitland to sell at the BGHS/AHS game Dec 22nd.  Tickets will be available at the door also

Advertisement Rob – will make a blurb for the radio

Lori put in the newspaper

Prizes – Jodee will get prizes – i-tunes cards, subway, Algona bucks, movie vouchers

Posters – Nicole Bosworth has made some – maybe make more – please talk to group

Equipment movers – Jodee talk to Buck, Magills, VonMuensters, Craig Marihart

In the Know

This is one of the several education tools Kossuth Connections Coalition uses to educate the adults of our community. Most adults have no real idea about the kids in their community......these teens will share what really goes on with the teens of our rural community.
